Thank you for renting one of our NeurOptimal® systems! We are excited to see how NeurOptimal® transforms your life, and we feel privileged to be on this journey with you. On this website, you will find what is involved in the process of using one of our NeurOptimal® rental systems.
To the left of the screen, the process of using your rental system is broken down into easy to follow steps, with relevant videos for simple and straightforward learning.
Remember, we are here to support you in your Brain Training journey – feel free to call us for around the clock support.
Before You Start
The system does not put anything into your brain, nor does it take anything out. It is simply mirroring your brain to itself to support your brain to come back to the present moment. It cannot create side effects.
It is not used for treatment of disorders. We cannot predict the outcomes of training. We provide you with tools to support you to notice differences in your life as a result of training.
Therefore, training with NeurOptimal® should be a breeze and easy to incorporate into your daily life. Just allow a few extra minutes for applying and removing the sensors, and of course clean up at the end.
You may have rented this machine for someone in particular or yourself. The great thing about NeurOptimal® is it’s for everyone, so make the most of it!
What To Expect In Your Parcel
Your rental period starts 1 day after it arrives at your HOME or POST OFFICE
Once you open the hard case, you will see:
- Surface Pro Tablet
- Zamp and Sensors
- Charging Cord
- Ten20 Paste
- USB Cable
- Antibacterial wipes
- A Return Satchel (keep this in a safe place!)
- Spare set of sensors (Do not use unless discussed first with us)
Setting Up Your Rental System
- Plug the computer into a power source.
- Open up the computer and log in.
- Connect the computer to Wifi.
- Connect the zAmp, using the USB Cable.
- Opening the NeurOptimal program.

Tracking Tools
Before you start training with NeurOptimal®, we highly recommend you to keep track of your progress. To make this easy for you, we have Tracking Tools, in which you can download and fill out.
Tracking tools help you to create a baseline to measure how you are progressing whilst training with NeurOptimal®.
The video to the right provides in depth information on the tracking tools, and how to accurately fill them in.
How To Attach The Sensors, and Start a Session
Ready to have a NeurOptimal® session? Lets prepare by attaching the 5 sensors, and getting a session started! Below,you will find 2 videos which provide you with in depth explanations on these processes.
What to do Once Your Session Has Finished
Your next steps are to remove the sensors and shut down the program and computer. Removing the sensors is easier with a helping hand, but luckily, we have provided you with a video on how to do a self clean up. You can find a video breakdown of turning off the device, and removing the sensors.
How To Return Our NeurOptimal® Rental System
When your rental period is complete, it is very important to follow the steps below which is further broken down in the video to the right. You are now required to pack up all of the equipment neatly back into the black box it came in. (you may keep the antibacterial wipes.) Please ensure that every piece of equipment is packed away. You can check this by referring to our ‘what to expect in your parcel’ page. At this point, please take a photo of the contents. You will then need to place the filled case into the prepaid return satchel that came with the system. From there, you can take it to your local post office, and drop it into the desk. Please ensure that you receive a ‘lodgement receipt’, and take a photo. Please send your photos to 0438 710 015.

You will hear the music along with ‘scratches’ in the music after you double click on your name. In terms of your own changes, we provide tracking tools to support you to notices the benefits in your life.
The response differs based on the client because every brain is unique. A person’s self-awareness affects how long it takes to detect improvements. Clients who are more conscious of their thought patterns, emotions, and body sensations typically notice quicker. Many people start to notice differences between 1-5 sessions.
Yes! The NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback Trainer does not require you to place your attention on the training screen in order to run a successful session. The feedback comes primarily through interruptions in the music/audio. You can read, sleep, meditate, whatever you feel inclined to do.
NeurOptimal uses C3 and C4 which are the midpoints on each side of the head between the top of the ear and the top of the head. If you get them close to those points, then there is no “wrong place”.
NeurOptimal® is 100% safe and non-invasive and does not push the brain in any “direction” during training. It just provides information to your brain and your brain decides what to do. Your brain naturally learns how to best operate with feedback. It does not create side effects.
It is very easy to become a NeurOptimal®️ trainer, no matter where you live! Because NeurOptimal®️ is not listed as a medical device, and because the software does everything for you, it requires no formal medical training, licenses or specialised training, and no medical background.
The system is very easy to learn how to use & it comes with both a user manual & how-to videos which will teach you how to run effective sessions. We do offer certification courses in Australia regularly, so you can become a certified NeurOptimal®️ trainer, but these are not a requirement.
